So I built my comp not that long ago and I just found out I've been runnin in single channel mode this whole time so what I'm wonderin is how much have I been screwin myself in performance and my fps when it comes to gamin and stuff

Depends on specs of your system.
For example Ryzen based systems tend to be significantly impacted by memory performance. On Intel system impact would not be so severe.

Yea I have a ryzen 7 1800x and does that impact gamin too if that's what you're sayin

Ram frequency also is very important there.
Depending on game you'll see 10-20% FPS difference in single vs dual channel modes.
