After adding 1 more stick of ram (1x16 to 2x16) to my PC, it ran fine for 1-2 hours then while gaming it suddenly turned off (?). The PC was still on but the monitor, mouse and keyboard turned off and I had to remove the power cable to turn it off. The ram is from the same brand , timing etc. are also the same, except for the dram manufacturer one's from Micron while the other one hynic. Could it be xmp's fault?

I've had this problem with my computer for a few months. What happens is when I'm playing a game such as Monster Hunter: World or Star Wars Battlefront 2 on a high graphics setting, my peripherals would suddenly turn off. The LEDs inside my case stay on, and the computer continuously runs and it doesn't sound like it's throttling down. This requires me to hold the power button to turn it off. The fix I had for this was just to turn down my graphics settings because I didn't feel like getting new parts or troubleshooting this.

In my case, the problem I had was the amd auto overclock feature. I just turned it off and the computer started working as always.
