perixx px3000 keyboard knob?

hi guys, just a wondering of mine, but i bought a perixx px 3000 ages ago and at the top right it says 'gaming mode' it looks like it is supposed to light up, making me wonder if there is a gaming mode i do not know about. does anyone know?
also it has this knob on the top right for volume control, but if you press it in, it changes the keyboards back light to red for about 10 seconds then it reverts back to normal, with no other obvious changes. is this anything?
i just want to know out of curiosity but also to make sure i am getting my moneys worth

don't know mine did not last 2 weeks and broke [lots of typos and keys acting funny] but there mx1000 mouse is still doing a good job

Lol, my keyboard is still going strong, although the spacebar is kinda loud did U have this problem?
I also have the mx2000 and perixx XL mouse mat..... The full set looks awesome

ya I liked the keyboard but it just failed near right out of the box the mouse I do like a lot no issues there
