I am unable to permanently remove/delete a wireless network definition from my Windows 7 machine (64-bit Home Premium edition). I use Network and Sharing Center --> Manage Wireless Networks as usual to delete the the line item but it reappears upon reboot (and possibly intra-booting...not sure on that one).

I am not even able to permanently adjust the properties or order-of-preference of the connections and have them persist. :??:

Any thoughts, comments, or suggestions?

use regedit and look to;
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsNT\CurrentVersion\NetworkList\Profiles. The right pane contains the details, e.g. ProfileName is the Network Name (SSID).

You can delete it there. backup your registry before making changes to a place you can access it later if need be, like a USB key.

Just a note before I proceed with preceding suggestion: when I reboot into Safe Mode w/Networking, my configuration(s) appear as I expected/desired. It seems there is something happening only when I am completely booting into full Windows environment. I now have a suspicion it is the wireless card utility that installed at same time card was installed. Am going to try booting with utility disabled and see what happens...

Yep...was the service/utility. RealTeK also installed an unidentified, no description service called RunSwUSB that apparently potentially leaks as well as possibly sends telemetry: https://what.thedailywtf.com/topic/17472/finally-nailed-my-windows-memory-leak-a-k-a-the-official-we-hate-karl-club.

Anyhoo, thanks for the pointer to the relevant registry keys, if I ever need them in the future...
