So I should preface this by saying I got a secondhand amd cpu with 5-6 bent pins. After using Jay's razorblade tutorial, I managed to straighten the pins without breaking any and successfully got the motherboard to draw power.
Now my problem is that my motherboard's dram led stays solid red and won't post. I tried using 1 stick in each of the slots without success. I put the ram in my old computer, and it works fine, so I'm somewhat stumped. I'm hoping it's just a simple motherboard problem and if I replace that it'll be fixed, but I don't really have the money to be spending hundreds here and there on parts that "might" work. Any help is appreciated.
