Question Persistent issue with Samsung 980 M.2 SSD ?

Hi all,

I need assistance with a persistent issue I have been experiencing with my Samsung 980 500GB M.2 SSD.

The problem manifests as the system freezes, leading to a BSOD. Following a restart, the SSD is not detected in the BIOS, requiring complete power before it becomes accessible again.

Here are some key details regarding my system and the SSD:

SSD Model: Samsung 980 500GB.
SSD Health Status: Good 96%, with 14.8TB written and temperatures ranging between 31-34 degrees Celsius.
System: Gigabyte B450M DS3H. Ryzen 3 2200G. 16 GB RAM.
Recent Actions Taken: Update BIOS, format and reinstall Windows.
BSOD Error Message: WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR.
I have conducted several troubleshooting steps, including RAM checks, updating drivers, and running stress tests on the CPU. However, the issue persists, and I am seeking your guidance on proceeding.

First, if you haven't done so yet do a test of your memory using MEMTEST. If the memory passes, while it's a lot of work to do another clean install, if you really feel that it is narrowed down to your SSD, I would recommend doing a secure erase followed by a clean install.
