I want to set up my first water cooling loop. I have an EKWB L360 on the way along with a Mayhems Silver Coil 99.999 Pure Fine Silver. I would like to use clear PETG and opaque yellow coolant, but I am reading that some coolants will destroy PETG and I don't know how to tell the difference before I buy. I'd like to buy today if I can. I want to work on the project not this coming week, but the week after.

Thanks.

PrimoChill says everything they make is petg safe I guess.

Hi Matt,
Any of our coolants are safe with PETG and flexible tubing. We recommend PC Ice Clear or True Clear for first time watercoolers.

Please let us know if we can be of any further assistance, now or in the future.

Looks like their opaque isn't what I'm looking for unfortunately.

Maintenance
As with all custom loop water-cooling, continual maintenance and daily inspection is required. If you intend to “fill your loop and forget it”, we STRONGLY recommend NOT using True Opaque. True Opaque will need to be replaced every 6 months or sooner, depending on the complexity and conditions of your loop. This will be required to maintain the aesthetic appeal of your loop.

Warnings/Cautions

Compatibility
Use of this product with aluminum components (such as aluminum constructed radiators) is STRONGLY DISCOURAGED and will void the fluid warranty. PrimoChill will not support or replace fluids used with an aluminum radiator.
Do not mix ANY additional additives, coolants or silver coils with Opaque True. This will change the formulation of Opaque True which can cause the fluid to solidify or break apart.

Anyone out there water cool with opaque and petg???

Okay so... here is what I have found out.
PETG can be used with any non glycol based coolant.
Eth glycol is supposedly completely in compatible... which makes sense.

However not many discuss Prop glycol... XSPC sells PETG and their EC series coolants are based in prop glycol... says right on their site "tested with PVC acrylic and PETG"

I have some samples of PETG that have been sitting here for 2 months... one has prob glycol in it, the other has anti freeze. The anti freeze I am seeing some random sediment in the tube... but nothing crazy... could have been dust or debris that were already in there when I sealed it up I guess.

The pro glycol tube has absolutely zero negative effects with the EC6 coolant...

So basically... PETG is a great tubing, but it is really meant for those using di water and colors... standard pastel or other non glycol based coolants... (most non glycol coolants aren't that great)
Primochills coolants have no aluminum protection... which if your not using that in your loop... your good. Which most people don't anyway.

Opaque is nice! XSPC just released and opaque line... it is more problematic though. I would suggest clear colored coolant.
