Monitor straight up stopped turning on. Looking for help with how to use a multimeter (Klein MM300) to determine if its power source or the board died.

My question was mostly in relation to how to use the Multimeter to check the power supply. I have never used a multimeter before, and I do not understand electricity.

plug in the psu to the wall
Set the multimeter to volt (V)
use the contacts of the multimeter and place one to the outer plug and the other to the inner plug of the PSU.
be careful and don´t bring both ends together

you should read about +-19Volt
