Depends on what you mean by better. From a basic consumer standpoint i prefer Intels socket design, i prefer the pins on the board as opposed to on the chip and i also prefer the locking mechanism a bit more as well. Though if i was someone who used a stock heatsink, i would pick AMD. I've always hated installing Intel stock heatsinks and ensuring each corner in turned and pushed down all the way. AMD just clips it on nicely.

As for performance, it's all in the chip as far as i'm concerned.
