Hi,
My distributors are a bit confused.

The P5AD2-E
http://www.asus.com/prog/spec.asp?m=P5AD2-E%20Premium&langs=01
http://tinyurl.com/8umsw

claims compatibility with 3.6 cpus.
" LGA775 socket for Intel Pentium 4/Celeron CPU
- Compatible with Intel 04B and 04A processors
- Intel Hyper-Threading Technology ready
"

But my distributor claims there are two 3.6 2MB Cache cpus in the market,
the EM64T version, and a NON-EM64T version.

She only has the non-EM64T version, which she says is not compatible with
this board.

Is she right or wrong?
The Intel # for the cpu should be BX80547PG3600F

Thanks!
jody

You can look up support on the cpusupport web page:

http://support.asus.com.tw/cpusupport/cpusupport.aspx?SLanguage=en-us

P4-3.60F GHz (EM64T)
P4-560/560J (3.6 GHz) (800 FSB) (HT)
P4-660 (3.6E GHz, 800 FSB, L2:2MB, EM64T, HT)

When I look here, I only see one 3.6Ghz/FSB800/2MB cache processor
listed (the SL7Z5). Same as when I look on processorfinder.intel.com
under the P4 section.

Is the part number you quote above, her part number for the
"non-EM64T" she stocks ?

Ya. Me too. That's why i thought she was confused, but with an $800 cpu, i
tend to be careful.
I was given a part # of bx80547pg3600fsl7z5 from them.
Intel/Asus/ASI all confirmed it should work, and so far it seems okay.
Given by the lack of google responses, i'm sure this is a grey market
non-north american cpu.

Thanks!
