I'm building a computer on eCollegePC, and for the "heatsink/fan" option they have several choices, including a Noctua 120mm and a Noctua 140mm, as well as several Corsair water-cooling options.

I'm leaning toward the Noctua, but then I don't know if the NH-U12S 120mm is good, or is the NH-U14S 140mm better? Maybe the 140mm is too big and will interfere with the RAM?

Any help?

The other choices are Corsair H60, H80i, H100i, H115i, H150i and Cooler Master Hyper 212.

Solution
The Evolv X has available cpu cooler clearance up to 190mm. Literally any air cooler will fit in there - tall memory heatspreaders included.

That aside, with just a 9700, your choice of cooler doesn't matter as much. You can pick whichever one of the coolers you were considering; they're all going to cool it quite similarly - excluding fan noise, anyway.
The Noctuas do have the Low Noise Adapter included in their packaging if that's a concern.
An i7-9700 isn't difficult to cool. A 9700K, especially when overclocked, is a different story, and would eliminate the Hyper 212, Corsair H60, and NH-U12S.
