I have a question about the leds in Phanteks Entho Luxe case. I plan on getting the NZXT HUE RGB Led Controller that comes with a 2m long led strip but I was wondering if you could take the external led strips from the Phanteks Enthoo Luxe case and connect them to the NZXT Hue strips and control the leds via the NZXT Hue controller? I noticed that the rgb controller that comes with the case only allows for solid colors but I want to make them slow pulse a deep blue in unison with the leds that I will be putting inside of the case. Is this even possible? Will I be able to connect the case leds to the inside leds and control all the leds with the NZXT HUE RGB Led Controller which allows for pulsing and all other kinds of settings?
Sorry...I am a nub when it comes to pc lighting. I have never done it before and I want to make the first time an experience to remember.

I am curious to this because I was planing on getting the Phantom 630 Window Edition but the Phanteks Enthoo Luxe just seems like a better case and it comes with a bigger window

From what I can tell, it won't work. It appears the connectors on the LED strip don't match/ have a similar design as the Phantesk LED strips designed to be used. However if you want to, you can use the NZXT Hue and control them.

Try emailing Phanteks. Their customer support is great and they can give you a solid answer.

Hey what's up TheMagicalWallaby you helped me with a build I'm going to be doing soon I made some modifications to the build but I decided to go Intel, I won't be putting in any led fans like I wanted to at the time only 2 120 specter pros on the bottom for more intake to prevent dust. Instead for looks I am just going to get the nzxt hue rgb led controller for the lighting effect instead of using the fans for it also I decide to stick with the noctua nh-d14 and I won't be changing out the fans on it here is my evolved build from the thread that you and others helped me with http://secure.newegg.com/WishList/PublicWishDetail.aspx?WishListNumber=23854611
Tell me what you think I am eager to see what you have to say also I might change the case to the phanteks one if I can simaltaniously control the leds with the nzxt controller if not I will stay with the nzxt phantom 630 windowed edition

The build looks great, I have some ideas on how to make it better (such as getting the NH-D15). I recommend checking out the asrock extreme 4 if you are wanted to get some high overclocks. Other than that I really like the build. I also recommend silverstone ap123's for the bottom fans (quieter for intaking through a grill). But if you don't want to change these things, you build will still be great.

Nah I got to have that side window that's why I was also thinking about the phanteks case but I'm starting to imagine what my LEDs would look like through a slightly cloudy grayed window and its not looking too appealing to me right now so I might stick with the 630 windowed edition also do you think I would ever need to over clock the 4790k I mean I might want to put it to a 4.4 when I start going to college if I need it but until then I will just use the PC for extreme gaming also there was only a select few mobos at the 130$ to 150$ mark that had 2 PCIe 3.0 with x16/x16 for x8/x8 compatibility until drivers come out that will let the 2 970s utilize on a x16/x16 set more efficiently when I decide to actually buy the second 970 I don't want to buy a mobo that will only do a x16/x4 because there is a not big but not small performance drop with that kind of mobo

What's wrong with the specter pros on that build? I know its on paper but it says that the rpms and cfms are higher than the Silverstone and they both have the same bearing type??? Also check the mobo on the build now I think that's the one you were talking about it has a 3 star rating because a lot of people were complaining about how the board will go dead after you unplug the PSU a few times so if I get this one I hope I dont have that problem but there was a lot of good reviews also and there was one review of a person that had a problem with the sata ports being in the way of the top pcie slot so if that's the case with this board I might not be able to sli at x8/x8 because the top 2 are x16/x16 and the bottom 3.0 is x4 so if the top x16 is blocked by the sata ports if you have a large gpu. I would be forced to do a x16/x4 setup because I would have to use the middle x16 and the bottom x4 so if you have another board that is under 150$ that has at least 2 PCIe 3.0 x16s that is good with ocing and won't die on me if I take the power plug out please let me know because I am out of town right now and I have to do my researching on a tablet and it is a pain or I would be more able to research for a better board myself also thanks for the recommendations pretty much thanks to you from the previous thread I have this build today

You don't have to overclock the 4790k, but it will help in the long run when you CPU is on the older side.

This is why I prefer the silverstones for bottom intakes https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r4B82yQRUQc
Its all about the fan blades.

PS If you want another board, the ASUS Z97-A (or Z97-AR, the revised version) is also great choice.

I would go with z97 such as this. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130769&cm_re=msi_z97-_-13-130-769-_-Product

It is a good board, I just prefer ASUS over most brands. I have an Asrock z97 extreme 4 in my pc (I got it for $80 or so on black friday).

For just $12 more than the MSI one, you could get this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813132116&cm_re=asus_z97-_-13-132-116-_-Product

Or for $300 you can get this beast :)

is the MSI Z97-GD65 Gaming LGA 1150 good for overclocking? and also will the noctua nh-d14 or 15 be able to cool an overclocked cpu like the i7 4790K ??

I have never overclocked using bios or any other means besides using EasyTuner6 and I believe there is a setting in it that will oc the cpu on startup but when i do decide to oc I will give you a pm for sure because i am no pro at it and i dont want to burn it out

I know a step by steo guide with the ASUS BIOS (BIOS is the only way you should overclock) that can bring your chip to 4.7GHz.
