Hi all,

As title, which one do you think is better?

I really like the Primo, however, it is a 4 years old case. There are a lot of changes right now in the current case design. I am not sure should I still go for it or not.

View 71 is a new case that seems to be very good except some quality issue. Is it better than the old Primo?

Any recommendations are welcome. Thanks.

Like you said, the view 71 is also a good case, if you want to showcase ur build, especially with rgb and vertical gpu etc, the view 71 is a good choice.
I just bought view 71 and Quality Control is terrible ....(all my screws are literally fixed in place,no cable management ties, bad hinges-cyllinder fall of with first pull, and deformed rivets all over ) ...MY personal recommendation is Phanteks

Then maybe you should get ur case replaced. Thermaltake isn't super good, but not that bad either.

Some alternatives I can think of are corsair 570X and coolermaster H500P

TT strikes out again. Good looking case, not so good quality it seems. I've dealt with Phanteks support before, had a cooler with a slightly warped base, they sent a brand new one factory direct, overnight shipping. With an apology. The Primo might be an older design, but you'd be hard pressed to find one that's built much better.

No,I can't replace it...This is not my first TT build... I have build for clients over 10 tt cases, and always the same story, bad screws, fixed screws, terrible rivets, but I managed,I replaced them all with new ones, made new front I/O panels, flimsy power button, replaced God awful USB 3.0 cabels(With flat ones instead of those bulky round black 3.0 USB cabels), and poorly brushed edges of tempered glass panels...But this time, for my personal build I bought this beauty ,and at the end,it's just that...Bad quality overshadows looks..Plus,I didn't mention that at the back of mobo tray you literally don't have those things for cables management, just flat surface! Horrible!
P.S As I mentioned,I have done various TT builds, and I must say even the quality of steel used for all their case is below any reasonable quality. You guys don't know the difference in doing paint job for example on any NZXT case and TTs case!My God!
In my opinion go for Phanteks always, premium quality and for second place goes to Corsair(also premium build cases)...Ignore reviews that says oh this or that is 5 degrees hotter bla bla, they really don't do in depth analysis of build quality.
Corsairs 570x can place two 25mm 360mm rads, decent reservoir and d5 pump, great cable management at the back and premium build quality...
As for CM cases, The new H500P is unfortunately and very unusual for CM badly executed case.Flimsy plastic, and anything acrylic as a panel I personally would avoid, that stuff gets scratched as you sneezed ,plus tempered glass panel on that model is badly fixed..
Sorry for long response, this is just my opinion based on my experience.

Well, I can say they the lower level models like versa series from tt are utter crap. But the latest models are atleast somewhat decent. My friend has a view 31 build. Its not bad imo. At least not as bad as you put it. Considering that the view 71 is kinda like the flagship, surprised about the rant.
I have also seen the corsair spec 04, it's not any better than the view 31. Maybe ur expectations are just too high XD.

Wasn't a fan of the Corsair Graphite series, the paint was terrible, showed every mark easily. I've got a system in a CM 690 II that's been nothing short of sweet. Not a cookie cutter look with all the mesh and not a box like my Define R5. 5 yrs old, sits in the living room and gets kicked by the kid all the time. Still looks brand new. Good led fan too that's switchable on/off. Sucks it's discontinued, buy the advanced III is similar construction.

View 31 was the model I've worked the most, really great case for the asking price. It's easier to modd it.But reality stands, steel quality is really bad...Tempered side panels are fairly sensitive, and with a few open/close action they will be chipped at the edges.
The good part view 31: With a two holes on front at the top and little dremel action you can easily put a 420mm rad in front(also you need to cut out some plastic on front cover, its a bit tricky to release acrylic window from its frame but its worth it)
Also, custom PSU shroud is easy to install in it,and to make back PSU mounting option is no fuss at all(again dremel work, nothing hard).Front I/O panel also is easy to be manipulated into instaling better 3.0 USB or antivandal power button.
Also it is easy to remove and replace mobo tray, which is necessary if you re planning on installing thicker rad on top.
View 71: offers great specs for the price, but the main quality issue remains..oh those rivets 😀 ....Its poorly executed. But ,at the end I have dremeled out fixed screws without damaging the case, replaced USB cables and 3.0 ports with flat ones.installed custom psu cover, modded drop in radiator bracket to fit multiport radiators, also I elevated the drop in bracket a bit so I could install fans in push only config.you do have at the bottom in front a door for drain port,at the top ,you really can do a lot of tubing with no modding, but at back of the mobo you need to install some kind of cable management clips because there aren't any 😀 just 30mm empty space behind mobo tray..Hinges are great idea, but again poorly executed. 😀 Had to superglue that cylinder on the hinges 😀 Glass edges, well,I think I will be ordering custom made panels with better brushed edges.Frame on view 31 have ticker paint coating that view 71. My expectation are not too high,if they are going to sell something as high end, with all the tricks/ blows and whistles, than make sure to deliver it.It seems to me,that most tech companies take their customers for fools...(all of them for all the segments of PCs) xD
I think I can't go anymore detailed than this, but I will post some pictures of the good and bad and the ugly about the view 71.
