I'm going to buy the Evolv X2 in the next couple of days or so but I'm very confused with the RGB lighting. It says D-RGB lighting is used but can also be used by A-RGB motherboard? Would I be able to use a standard ARGB controller to run them? Or can I use my motherboard?

https://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/B450M Pro4-F/#Specification

- 1 x RGB LED Header*
- 1 x Addressable LED Header**
*Supports in total up to 12V/3A, 36W LED Strip

**Supports in total up to 5V/3A, 15W LED Strip

This is what it says it supports but I'm very confused. I was thinking of adding more ARGB fans to connect to an ARGB hub and control everything from there. Would that work too?

is what you're going to need to adapt the ARGB header on your board to the D-RGB on the case.

According to the manual for the case;
https://www.phanteks.com/manuals/Evolv X2_Manual_v1.2.pdf
you get the adapter bundled with the case.

What fans are you looking at and how many of said fans are you looking into? You could get Corsair's Link products and take the guess work out of the equation(sort of) or look at the Lian-Li range of products or perhaps look into a hub to manage the ARGB on your build.

Just an FYI, ARGB and RGB are two different standards and are not interchangeable. They also draw different amount of power, with 5v and 12v respectively.

I have a Noctua cooler so I don't have an AIO cooler for the PC.
So I'll get 2 sets of 3 fans. 3 for the top and 3 for the bottom plus one more fan for the exhaust all of them will be ARGB.

I've tried the ARGB header last night with the Arctic fan I bought for the cooler and it seemed to recognise it and I installed the Asrock Polychrome sync software and I could change colours etc.
However when I removed the fan it started giving me errors so I don't know if it is because it couldn't find the fan so I'm going to re-install it today to see if it still gives me issues.

I'm looking into the gamemax hub at the moment but I'm prioritising silence over everything else.
In case I have to rely on the HUB alone for ARGB I want the fan speed to be as low as possible. Actually I may buy the hub before the case to experiment. But I don't know if there is a better hub out there but I don't want to spend a lot of money.
