Phanteks P400S - does this case run hot?

Hey guys, not sure if this is the right sub forum but it seemed to fit better than any of the others.

I just moved my components over to a Phanteks P400S case and am just wondering if this case runs hotter than most? It's pretty closed off, front panel, top, etc so I'm assuming not much air makes it inside.

I purchased two Corsair SP120's for the front intake and a Corsair AF120 for exhaust, but even with these fans (which are loud btw) my processor is reaching 75~ C during gaming sessions and my video card is reaching 72-73C.

CPU = i7 4790k
GPU = MSI 1070 quicksilver OC

My last case was a Rosewill CHALLENGER, really cheap case with horrible cable management but my components ran 5-10C cooler in that case with the cheap fans that came with it. Granted, it had a much more open air design.

Does this sound normal to you guys who know much more than I do 😀

Thanks for any help,

Justin

Ideally your internal case air need to be moved by case's fans, with cheap fans @ ~ 40CFM on front hardly match warm air blown by CPU or + GPU cooler fans. Simple trick is wet fore finger, run your PC at full load such as gaming > put your wet finger near CPU and GPU cooler, if you feel front intake fans are pushing warm air coming from CPU and GPU coolers toward backward or upward of the case then you have positive air pressure. Meanwhile you can tuck clattered cables, clear air way from obstruction so it wouldn't loose pressure.

Thanks I may try that this weekend, I'm curious what kind of pressure is going on in my case, I've seen a few videos about it on YouTube. As for fans, I have a couple high performance corsair sp120s in front and an af120 in back for exhaust. Nothing up top yet but I might try an exhaust fan or two on the top.

my experience with this case is similar, im using i7-7700K delid and corsair i115 AIO at the front.. at my old silentium gladius m35 case(also with mesh front panel) liquid temps were max 33c-34c while gaming now they hit 40c after 1hour of gaming and that means fans are spinning at max 2000+ rpms... funny thing is that if my fans spin 1200rpm and i take front panel of they start spinning 100rpm faster... so the front is suffocating fans.

i have 2 noctua 140mm fans at top as exhaust and one 120mm noctua fan at back as exhaust.

so after i bought this case i realized that i would not recomend cases like phanteks eclipse p400,nzxt s340 or other cases with really closed front panels to any builder who cares about their pc performance...

i wish, i bought fractal desing meshify c or something similar..

gamers nexus case reviews are good to look at when looking about cases and their potential..
