Hello,
I recently picked up a Phanteks PH pwm fan hub for my system and after installing it and using it, I noticed that two of my fans weren't working. These two fans are the stock 140mm case fans that I got with my Phanteks case. Other than that the 3 Thermaltake 140mm led fans I have in the system work perfectly fine. Ive tried switching positions on the fan hub itself and switching headers on the motherboard itself and nothing seems to keep the fans running. I also think that its worth mentioning that the fans all worked the first couple of days and then the two mentioned would spin a little and stop and continue this for a few minutes.
Thank you for your time!,
-Will

Given that the hub is powered by a SATA power connection

it's possible that the unit may be defective or that the 140mm fans require more power than is provided to them but when you've mentioned the fact that they spin a little for a few minutes until they die down reminds me of my ordeal with how the Scythe Jyuni fan I had wouldn't want to start below 900rpm's and in order to get it to start I'd have to have it run at 1200rpm just to get the starting voltage across and when it was in motion, I'd dial down the voltage on my fan controller to bring it down to 900 rpm thereby eliminating the issue with noise.

Case in point, the 140mm fans require...

Case in point, the 140mm fans require more power to get their bare minimum RPM's to register on the motor that is why it's doing what it's doing. You could likewise contact Phantek's support team and see what they have to say and if my story corroborates with yours...?
