Phanteks RGB led strip issue

I bought the Phanteks PH-LED kit for my pc case. I currently have it installed and it works but its only lights up white. The motherboard I have is the msi b350 pc mate and my case is the meanit 5PM series. I understand that is also Aura sync so I tried downloading the software but that doesn't seem to work. Is this rgb led strip only capable with Asus Aura motehrboards and Phanteks case?

Did you plug it in the rgb slot connector? You should have a 4 pin one on your motherboard. Also since you are using an msi board you CAN'T use the aura sync software as its only for asus products. Try downloading the msi corresponding software for it.

I did plug it into the 4 pin led header on my motherboard. I will try the msi version. [UPDATE] The MSI version, Mystic lights, doesn't work.
