Hi All,

I've recently brought a Phanteks Neon M5 RGB strip, however I cant get it to work, I have a MSI B550M Mortar motherboard and the strip is connect to the JRAINBOW1 connector.

If someone has any suggestions it would be much appreciated.

Many thanks.

No, Phanteks does not use the terms "RGB" and "ARGB" for the two different types of lights. This strip OP has is what most call an Addressable RGB or ARGB light type, but Phanteks calls them Digital RGB lights. and OP is correct to plug it into a JRAINBOW header on his MSI mobo. There is a small "trick" to this, though. The locking connector that Phanteks uses on the end of their strip cable in not the more common type that others use. So Phanteks normally includes with their lighting products an adapter cable that DOES fit onto the "standard" mobo header, and then you can plug the cable from the light strip into the other end of that adapter cable. OP, did you do it that way?
