Question PHDisk Save-To-Disk Utility

I have an old IBM Thinkpad 390e which came with the PHDisk Save-To-Disk Utility; a utility that saves RAM data on a hdd partition or file if your laptop suddenly loses power. I used it to create a Save-To-Disk partition, but beyond that I haven't found anything to know if it's working or not. I know the utility works with the Power Management in the BIOS. While the BIOS has hibernation settings, there is nothing in the BIOS that specifically mentions Save to Disk. BTW I have switchable hard drives with both Win95 and Win98 installed, both with a FAT primary DOS partition, which is a requirement for the PHDisk Save-To-Disk Utility (I also have additional switchable hdds with Windows 3.1 and 2000, which is pretty cool, but that's not relevant to the question at hand).
