Phenom II performance

I'm looking to use a Phenom II and Amd Overdrive. I have read that the Phenom II has ACC built into the cpu. Does this mean I can use a non-SB750 soutbridge and still get good oc'ing results? Some sources say that a SB750 is required where as the AMD website says Overdrive will work on a 770-series mb.

Has anyone been able to attain good overclocks using a non-SB750 chipset such as the 770-series or an Nvidia chipset?

ya SB750 does not help Phenom 2 processors in any way so it really does not matter.
