So, I have a quick question. I know that with the Phenom X4, if I want to use PC8500 1066 ram, that I am limited to one dimm per channel. Yet, I haven't heard anything in regards to the same thing for the newer AM2+ Phenom II X4s. I know that the AM3 Phenoms are limited to one dimm per channel when using DDR3 1333/1600 but what about the AM2+ Phenom IIs. Is the new Phenoms II limited to one dimm of PC8500 1066 ram per channel just as the Phenom I is? I ask because I have a Phenom X4 9950 @ 3.2GHz with 4 gigs of 1066 ram, one 2 gig dimm per channel. It leaves 2 two slots open, one per channel. But, I would like to upgrade to the newer Phenom IIs and would like to have more than just one dimm per channel of pc8500 1066. Any thoughts? Hopefully my question is clear enough. Thanks! - Spydey

Yes. I got it running on the M3N78 Pro. I got the phenom II x4 940 with 4 gbs 1066 running dual channel (4x 1 gb sticks). The volume of ram doesn't matter. I went with 4 gigs cuz I am using win xp pro 32 bit.. and it doesnt recognize more than 3 gig. But my bios recognizes all 4 gigz and so long as the settings it is displaying are correct, it is running them at 1066 dual channel.
