Phenom II X4 810 AM3 to AMD Phenom II X61055T Query.

Ok i'm looking into upgrading from these two processors my only problem is will the new processor run on my system?

Rig Used at the moment.

Computer specifications:
AMD Phenom II X4 810 @ 2.6ghz
ASROCK K10N78 AM2+
8GB 6400 DDR-2 Kingston RAM (4x2gb)
320GB SATA Seagate
Xpertvision 9800GT 512MB DDR3

My problem is will it work, and there had been no bios update for my motherboard on ASROCK site, they said it would be AM2+/AM3 backwards compatible but i'm not sure about this.

It will, but only after ASRock updates the bios for it. Id venture to call them to see if they plan on releasing a compatible bios.

well, i hope it gets supported, as i will be doing the same thing (810 -> 1090T), though i have a slight OC on mine (3GHz)

I would be surprised if you see a bios update at this point. It has been more than a year. Worth looking in to, but I don't expect it. Looks like ASROCK no longer supports it.
