Question Phenom II X4 955 system rescue

Hello. Attempting rescue of old PC with Phenom II X4 955, Gigabyte GA-MA790 GP-UD4H, 8GB RAM. Won't install or boot 64-bit Win 7 disc. Ideas?

At this point you could simply try and work with Linux on that build, instead of working with an OS that's no longer supported. You could also try and install Windows 8.1 but use the drivers for Windows 7, following this guide. You can do the same under Windows 10 but you'll be hard pressed to learn to that the higher you go with OS, the more stress it'll put on your platform of that age/era.

Thanks for your reply. Not looking to use this PC for anything more than basic functions in the wood working shop out back: display of diagrams, designs and printing basic instructions. So, I just need to get this PC to boot up and accept install of Win 7. Any help will be appreciated.

Also, not concerned at all about MS support for the OS. Won't even ever be online.

What do you mean by that, at which point does it fail ?
