Philips 190B and ViewSonic vx2235wn

Hi, I have the same problem as http://www.justanswer.com/computer/46x52-2003-19-philips-190b-screen-windows.html but I am using windows 8.1. When I disconnected the monitor from the power source over night it worked for a little while until it just appeared again. I have tried it in three computers (my win8.1, win7 and the old xp beast) but all of them have the same problem. I do have another monitor which is 1050p but that doesn't even turn on (ViewSonic vx2235wn) so if you have any solutions for this monitor I would also be happy to hear.

The OS you use doesn't make a difference to your monitor.
Your Philips probably has worn out switches and your ViewSonic probably has a bad power supply board.
