'Not looking to spend a lot of money on 2 monitors'

It's priced over $400, which is almost double what you can get a pair of IPS monitors for, that are larger....

I get they're higher quality, but I certainly wouldn't view this as a way to save money.

I use 3 monitors on a daily basis, 1x29" and 2x22"... Always wanted to replace the 2x 22" with a Ultrawide.. but cannot justify the cost, as specially my work is mostly text / CLI based resolution is my last concern.

That doesn't make it any better. For $50-200 less, you could get a paid of 1080 IPS displays.

Yea I know it doesnt im not for this, im against it, its a rip off

$500 is not bad for a dual 1080p screen setup. Wait, you say it is 1280x1024? What is this? Did we magically transport back to 15 years ago? This is what I ran on my 19" CRT monitors back in the day. No thank you.

I think it would still be somewhat on the pricy end of the range when there are so many 1080p displays available under $200. Granted, this might not look as good as having two displays mounted on a tailored dual-monitor stand. You can even get a pair of Dell U2412 (1200p) for ~$500 when they are on sale.

I used to run my 19" CRT (Viewsonic p95f) at 1600x1200 until something on its PCB exploded and burst on fire in the deflection circuitry around the 10 years old mark.

Between this and the new Macbook air I'm beginning to think the tech industry is running some "Crappy design decisions that aren't worth the cost" week promotion.

The value proposition on this is a very hard sell. They put a lot of work into making it sound very nice when considered in full but in the store it's going to make a bad first impression if a sub-$400 27" or larger 2560x1440 model is also visible near by.

Where in the world do you shop that you can get a pair (2) IPS displays that are over 32inch that cost ONLY $200?

Great concept... It will never fly with such low resolution panels and such small panels! @x22 inch with at least 1680 x 1050 MIGHT fly... but anything less is just a joke...

It's a silly setup. Little pricey is kind of an understatement. Two screens with 1080p resolution will set you back about 260-300.lg 34UM64 is priced at $599 and is bezel free and supports a much higher pixel count. Phillips needs to get there head out of their ass.

"Each LED-lit screen has a 1280 x 1024" tha's a big pile of nope on the resolution alont, 2 $120 monitors on a dual monitor stand (usually $30-50) maybe $300 for the convnience of preassembled and if the articulation is good, otherwise a rip off

This "world first" is a pair of 19" 1280x1024 displays sold as one unit with a custom monitor stand.

You can get 22" 1080p displays for ~$150 (x2 for $300) and that leaves $200 under the MSRP to put toward an adjustable multi-monitor stand.

Wow that's pretty archaic in a world where 1920x1080 is average, 1440 is good, and 2160 is what everyone's talking about. I can't see spending basically $200+ for a sub 1080 19" display, let alone $400+ for 2.
