Phone booting into recovery mode after startup

Hello,

some 3 years ago, I've bought Lenovo A536. As time has shown, it's a terrible product (just as most other Lenovo phones are, as everyone I know who has their phone only has problems with it), I don't even know how many times I had to restore the factory settings because of some bugs. However, the phone has taken it to a whole level today. I've been listening to music on my way to school this morning and had to reboot it because the headphones were stuttering and this is the only thing that helps. However, to make my day a little bit more interesting, instead of booting into the OS, the phone booted into recovery mode, which I can't get from since then. I've tried everything there, including factory reset, but none of it helped. I can't ever turn it off, every time I try it, it immediately turns back on, boot loops about two times and goes back into recovery mode. The only way to turn it off is to pull the battery out. This also happens if I don't touch it for a minute, or once I put the battery back in. Is there a way to fix it? I know it's a piece of shit and I'd like to buy Xiaomi Redmi note 5 once they start selling it here in the Czech Republic, but I need it to work until they do.

1. Have you looked at the force-close combination of keys? Usually there's some set of keys you can press during boot (or reboot, in this case) that will power the phone off completely. Alternatively, there's often one to get into the bootloader, and if you can get there, perhaps there's hope.

You may have to try your hand at rooting. Google and see if there's a factory rom for your phone, but if not, this may be of some help:

Flash one based on an older OS, as those will have had the most dev and be the most stable. In theory if you can get to recovery mode, you can get to adb and fastboot (the bootloader), and from there flash a custom rom. It's not going to be the same as you're used to, but it is working android, which sounds like it'd do for the time being.

My solution may be a bit convoluted, try waiting out and seeing if anyone has anything better to offer.

Well, I've tried flashing an official ROM using SP Flash tool, just as people advised on another forum. Aaaaaand it looks like I've bricked it completely, as it doesn't do anything at all now... I swear this is the last time I've bought ANYTHING from Lenovo!!

Before declaring it bricked..... have you tried the force-shutdown combo of buttons? If you matched your model and you didn't just pull the cable out halfway through, it's actually pretty hard to hard brick these things.

Also.... has Xiaomi even said they'd do this? I thought most of their efforts were on India and China. If not though, there are plenty of sellers for these devices - I personally would suggest banggood.com, as they've been pretty legit for me. Just keep in mind warranty is a bitch.

You may wish to post and ask around XDA if you do think you've bricked it - that thread might be a good place. I'm not terribly knowledgeable about fixing bricks as I've never managed it, but usually the ROM devs have some clue.

Xiaomi has a couple of authorized sellers here in my country, their Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 plus are already being sold here, and Redmi Note 4 and Redmi 4X were massively successful, with Redmi 4X having the best rating of all phones, and was even chosen as the best product of 2017. (just take a look here https://mobilni-telefony.heureka.cz/ ) So I don't see any reason why they wouldn't sell RN5 here as well.
