I am trying to figure out if I can somehow use a splitter or adapter to connect a standard telephone to an ethernet switch. I have FIOS Internet and Telephone service. I have no data or phone jacks where I need to have a phone. So I want to run an ethernet cable from my router to a switch on my desk and connect my PCs, printer and standard phone. I do not want any wireless or cordless solutions.

Solution
In your case, no.
The wires in an ethernet cable can be used for a phone signal, but a phone signal is not compatible with ethernet and will not work with your router or switch. You need a a separate line from the one you use for a computer network to carry your phone signal to a phone jack. You should contact tech support to get help in installing your phone.
