Has anything changed at all? Moved anything around?
Have you power cycled the modem and router or gateway?
Check the driver details in device manager for the desktop wireless card and see if it updated recently. If so, try rolling it back.
It has been fine for over a year up until a few days ago
EXCEPT, your machine doesn't stay static. If you are, as many people do, leave their Windows to update automatically (because is easier), it does it behind your back. You should be aware software updates are not always the salvation, sometimes they break working things.
Just like the other guy asked, What Changed? If not you, then suspect Microsoft's update.
Back to my standard reply: You should have a LAN driver, from your Mobo's vendor, NOT Microsoft, that is specific to your OS version. Again, if you are running W10, and you go in there and it says you have a Microsoft driver, me don't like.
