Hi, our Dlink can work on 802.11b/g/n, and some of my friends who are also using android 4.4.4 can work on a 802.11n but my phone keeps on using 802.11g, i have also set the router to work on mix mode with g and n, but how can i make my phone work on n? I have a acer z410 phone, and a Dlink DIR-655

Set your router to use N only, which your phone supports. That will also improve the speed of your wireless if you also use WPA2/AES security. Legacy support limits wireless speed.

After you make that change you will probably have to delete your existing network from your phone settings and add the new one.
