[SOLVED] Phone not detected on my Windows 10 desktop PC ?

Hello guys.

I strongly suspect there's some problem with some specific USB drivers/drivers that prevent the computer from reading my phone (Huawei p30pro if it matters)

My win 10 desktop cannot read my phone but has no issue reading other phones or devices.

My phone similarly can be read by other desktop/pc except my own.

Cable is the same. Setting for phone remains the same too.

My phone goes undetected. It doesn't exist when connected. Doesn't shows up at device manager as error too either.

It sounds like the fault lies with the phone and not the pc

these pc it works on, did it work on them before you went away or are they just 2 random PC it works on now after your return? Just thinking it is possible phone has received updated drivers since your return and those don't work.

What motherboard do you have? its always possible the bios is not recognising the phone when you plug it in.

USB drivers are built into win 10 for most part, its unlikely to be a driver issue. More PC not knowing what it is you plugged into it.

It was working fine until i return from an overseas trip.

apparently most computer cannot detect my phone, but there are 2 that could. It works normally without issue.

Same cable used.
Same phone setting

works on 2 computer, failed on 5 others.

it does not even appear on device manager, as tho it's inivisible.
