can I connect speaker wire from wall speakers to my phone to play music without an amp?

No. The phone won't have sufficient power to drive any speakers that aren't self powered. You might be able to hear them, but not with any volume. Think of having the amount of output a pair of headphones makes but from a wall speaker.
