phone storage, while moving folder to folder on sd card

i have a ZTE Blade Q Lux, which is a horrible phone, i have a trouble moving a 2gb file folder to folder ON THE SD CARD (from a folder in sd card to another one in the sd card), it says "Phone storage is full, operations failure". its like moving your bed from a corner on your room to another corner, the your mom said "this house is full, you cannot move the bed!". help me

When you "move" a file, the file in the original location cannot be deleted until it has been completely copied to it's new location - - that means at some point there will actually be two copies of that file - - 4GB not 2GB.

What is the card's capacity?

Hey there, Dennis.

I'm with @Phillip on this one. This is probably what's happening. Perhaps if you try to cut the files instead of copying them, you would be able to do that. On the other hand I strongly advise you to backup the files on a computer if they are important. Don't ever cut files which are valuable if you don't have another copy of them somewhere else. And don't keep important files stored only on your phone/SD card, think of a backup option.

my sd card capacity is 32 gb with 20gb spare space

Well that makes things a bit more confusing. Go ahead and backup the data and try reformatting the flash drive, to see if you keep getting the same issues afterwards. You could also turn to the SD card manufacturer's customer support for an advice, to see they can help with a solution.
