I am new here, and hoping to receive some guidance. What do you think of the following specs? I am looking for a high performance desktop primarily for photography and photo editing, and something that can be expanded in the future. This is what was recommended to me:

XFX 650W PRO650W Core Edition Single Rail ATX 12V 53A 24PIN ATX Power Supply 80PLUS Bronze PSU

Fractal Design Define R4 ATX Tower Case Black Pearl 2X5.25 8X3.5INT No PSU Front 2XUSB3.0 Audio

Microsoft Windows 7 Professional Edition 64Bit DVD SP1 OEM

Any thoughts or comments? I don't think I will be buying another desktop for a long time, so I am hoping to get something that I will be happy with for years to come.

Thanks in advance!

You have non K cpu and Z-87 mobo. Id take K cpu with that mobo.
Or intel xeon 1230V2 / V3

Samsunf evo is not bad but cheaper is Sandisk ultra plus and it is faster too.

For foto or video editing you do not need GTX 770. Any card over GTX650 is fine.
If you build it like this you save much money. More memory is what you need +16GB is good to have.

Like this. PCPartPicker part list: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/1C4q4

Or with 4770k like this.

And if want more GPU powr in future then you get sli two GTX 760.
First buid needs then better mobo ad bigger psu to do that. Then you have more gpu power than GTX 780.

Then just take this mobo and this PSU.
