Photo editing laptop (+ some gaming) under 1000 $

Hello,
I need suggestions on a laptop for under 1000$ for primaty photo editing and some slight gaming.
The models i'm currently stopped on are Acer Nitro 5 and Dell G3.

No, these are not good unless you are going to use a good external monitor or replace the default panel. They come with a mediocre IPS display.

You should opt for a laptop with a good IPS panel. There are some options:

Specifically, if you want the gaming power, I would seriously consider the HP Pavilion 15T and choose the rather cheap 144HZ IPS display, which is for "gaming", but really, is a good IPS overall and will be great for 60FPS movies too because of its lower response times. You can configure it with a GTX 1050, 1050 Ti or 1060. If you only want "slight" gaming, the 1050 or 1050 Ti are great really and no point in investing there - better use the money for a nice SSD or something you need.
