MSI Radeon R9 380 GAMING 4GB GDDR5 PCI-e Video Card - $199.99 after Rebate

Well, you don't have a cooler for your CPU. The MB is very basic. The PSU is marginal.

I would go with something like this. Wait until Sunday to see what their ad has in it. I think you will get another $20 off this build with the CPU/MB discount combination.

You could drop down to a GTX 950 and likely not notice any difference at all. This would free up some money for a SSD.

Here it is with an SSD. You'll get another $30 off with the CPU/MB combo. I forgot that MC adds come out on Friday (Frys comes out on Sunday.) The MB is really nice with upgraded sound, M.2, USB 3.1, and a x4 PCIe slot for future expansion. Of course, you could save some more by ordering from different retailers rather than getting everything from Micro Center.

If you need to save some more, you could do pretty well without a separate GPU and just use the on board graphics. You could easily add a GPU at a later date if desired.

If photo editing is your main concern, I would go for higher clocked cpu. No need for 650 W psu on a GTX 950 build and no need for a strong graphics card in general. Not sure here, but aren't Radeon based cards not better for application supporting the gpu? Here my try, stronger and overclockable cpu and motherboard, but no ssd. you can add it later. And you are under 750 dollars:

Thanks for the recommendations.

Changed some items based on feedback. The build is mostly for hobby photography/editing so I'm not sure how good of a video card I need. I just want to make sure I don't outgrow it too soon. The local Micro Center doesn't have many GTX 950's to choose from so I put in a 960. Not sure it this is overkill though. How much does the GPU have with the editing speed?

I'm at $850 with the $30 off from the CPU/MB combo.

Is there a big difference between Sandisk and Samsung SSD''s? I see a lot of recommendations for the Samsung EVO.

If i need the better GPU I'm OK with going up with the budget.
