I'm trying to decide between the following printers:
HP Photosmart P1000 or 1218
Canon s600 or s800
or Epson?
Any recommendations?

I bought the S600 for the inexpensive $10.00 ink cartridges. I was surprised by the awesome photo output.
It's pretty quick, too.

Did you ever decide on a printer? I'm in the same dilema as you! I have just bought the Sony DSC F707 as well. Very happy with the camera. I currenlty have a HP PhotoSmart P1100 and am torn as to whether I shoud buy the HP PhotoSmart P1318 or an Epson 1280. I've been pretty loyal to HP's printers and have always been happy with them. Just wondering if there's greener grass on the other side?

Opinions I have read, say go with Canon or Epson over HP for better Photo quality and ink lasting capabilitys. Canon now has printers that put out photos that last 25 years and Epson has some that do 100 years.

I have the Sony DSC S85, and print out 2272x1704 resolution pictures on 8x10's and 4x6's crystal clear. Now with you being able to take them in 2560x1920 resolution your 8x10's will even be clearer. Heck if you don't mind spending $400 on a printer, you could go with the Canon S9000 or an Epson, and print 11x17's and 13x19's with that camera.

I did a search on lowest price sites with good ratings. This site had over 25000 revies and good marks. This is where I got my printer from. About a 14 or 21 day return policy and a full 1 year warranty with the manufacturer.

<i> If you buy a pre-packaged pc, shame on you </i>

Well from the reviews I have seen I was sold on the Canon S750 until a salesman got hold of me and after much convincing I ended up with the Canon S900 for a few dollars more. I must say the quality of the prints from this thing is amazing, its worth checking them out anyway.
Besides that the cartridges are cheaper than Epsons and I would not buy a HP or a Lexmark, the other thing is the print heads are seperate from the ink cartridges and replaceable.
overall the printing costs per sheet are far lower with the S750, the S900 I am not sure about.

Awww I hope the flames dont die, coz my matches are all wet!
