[SOLVED] Photos app and Microsoft account issues.

I use Photos app to resize MULTIPLE pictures. I have hobby cat business and take many pictures of kittens and need to be able to quickly resize them. My process is usually as follows:

Open Folder. Open Picture 1. Don't like it- go "Next" using arrows on the side of image. Next. Next. Next. Like this one- open Edit function, reside it, save it, then continue going Next, next, etc.

Yesterday, something happened to my Next arrow. It is there when I open picture, I can go to next picture and so on, but when I Edit picture and Save, it returns to picture view but Next Arrow does not come up. This is huge inconvenience. It already takes me my entire weekend to process these pictures, but now after I save one, I can't continue viewing other pictures, I have to close, reopen and repeat. I dont know what happened. Was it some kind of update? Is there a way to reinstall Photos app? I tried to restart computer several times. Ran in to another issue of my OneDrive not being "connected" and password to Microsoft not working. My OneDrive was full, I dont know what on it- probably pictures. I got no notifications from Microsoft that somebody changes my password. So I went in and changed my password and got instant notification, but I dont know why my old password was not working. Dont thing 2 issues related, but who knows. Thoughts? Thank you.

I think I have found the cause for this problem. If the folder which the viewed photo is in isn't in the Folders section of the Photos App, I don't get any arrows and cannot browse through the pics. If I am viewing a picture in Pictures folder which is in
the list of folders in Photos app, I can skim through them with arrow keys.

Microsoft Photos doesn't allow me to "scroll" through pictures in a folder with the arrow...

I open a picture in Photos and I can no longer move to next or previous photos with the arrow keys. The on-screen "buttons" that used to appear to the...

some of the help on this site makes me wonder

Narrowed it down to this:

Open any folder using File Explorer with 30 or fewer photos and the navigation works.

Open any folder with 31 or more photos and the navigation does not work IF you open any photo EXCEPT the last 30 in the folder. IF you open any one of the last 30 photos in the folder, then the navigation works.

Clearly a bug with loading the list of photos into the the Photos App when opening a photo via File Explorer.

No option but for Microsoft to fix this.

not sure about that password, I have had an ongoing problem with my office account always wanting my logon info almost every day.

Totally appreciate your help. But my problem is different. I can scroll through pictures, I have arrows until I save one. When I edit and "Save Copy", editor closes and picture I saved shows with white background edited, then there are no arrows and buttons dont work, and before I would just continue scrolling Next after editing and "Save Copy". Technically, this picture is a copy of original picture that saved in different folder than original picture and before I had no issue to continue, it was just going back to next original picture, but now it is THE END. Thank you.

Also if I use Save and it saves Edits to original photo, then the arrows work, but when I use "Save Copy", which is default button, it saves but no arrows in preview. This is new issue. Also few times it was not able to show edited and saved pictures, was giving me white empty page. Thanks.

And there more issues now. Now when I use "Save Copy", it does not ask me where to save, I can't change location, now it just saves edited photo in the original folder with (1) added to the name, and Arrows do not work when preview appears, also it often not able to load this picture after save.

Ok, so this is what's going on: I added my E/Photo/ folder to Photos in settings and when it added, it saves Copy next to original with (2) in file name. The arrows work. If I delete folder from Photos, then it allows me to select where to save copy but Arrows would not work after save. As I said- this was not issue before.

If I add to Photos only folder I want edited picture to go in to, then it opens that particular folder when I "Save Copy", it not just saves there, it actually opens that folder, but after saving no arrows. I tried to enter Original folder and Destination folder both in to pictures, it offers to save in to destination folder, and after saving still no arrows.

Because I only want to edit and save some pictures, nit every picture, I need to be able to Save Copy and then keep scrolling. It is hard to find where you were to reopen them every time.

I have exactly the same issue! Totally broken workflow when selecting+editing large amount of photo's -> unworkable! All happend after last MS update.

Problem: No next/previous buttons after editingg & save-as.

After I add the folder to the list of photo folders in settings, I cannot save-as in a different folder (they end up in the same folder), which also renders my workflow useless.

So, I hope anyone has found a solution for this?
A different tool to quickly browse, select, edit (crop/straitening) and next would be a solution to if this anoying update cannot be reversed or anything...
