Photos Don't Show On Computer

Hi all,
I am having problems viewing photos on my PC. I have a Panasonic TZ30. With the card in the camera I can view the photos on the camera screen, but when I plug it into my PC it says the disk needs to be formatted. If I put the card into a reader, either USB or laptop it is not recognised. Help - I have a lot of lovely photos on this card that I can't do anything with.

Seems like something is wrong with the card if it is not even seen by a computer. Try hooking up the camera to a MAC or boot your PC with a Linux Live CD, see if either of those will read the files off it. Once you get the images out, I'd replace that flash card.
