Photoshop online free editor alternative

Looking for any editor whcih is similar to real photoshop and desktop verion which is free. as i cannot afford photoshop. currently i am using broser based photoshop online free editor at www.toolpic.com but i am looking for desktop version

The best free ones I've used are paint dot net and GIMP.
