Physix card for poorly optimized games?

I had a question about using a physix card. I currently have a GTX 980 and an i7 5820k clocked to 4.4ghertz. A lot of games run super good, but a certain number of terribly optimized games run very large gaps in fps. I swear, the spent so much time making a good game they forgot to make it run decent. For instance Natural Selection 2 (One of my most favorite), can run fps anywhere from 200fps (game limit) all the way down to 40fps. This is all on maxed out settings. The most often range is about 150-70fps which is still a pretty wide range of fps. I was wondering if purchasing a GTX 750 TI and set it as a physix card would help steady fps in poorly optimized CPU games?

no need to get a physX card, because the GTX 980 (or, in fact, your CPU) are good enough physX processors. also, the games you play might not support PhysX, and you will only "benefit" in games that support it, so NO. no need for an extra card. keep the money, and wait until the next steam sale. you could buy so many games with the chuck of cash.

Dang I was hoping to steady my frames any other tips to do so?
