Hi community,

I have a Radeon HD 5670 GPU. And I heard some where that you can run PhysX on an AMD GPU. But I can't find anything about it. So I hope you can help me. Also is it possible to activate PhysX with only an AMD card?

Also this is my CPU: AMD Athlon II x4 620 ~2.6 GHZ

(Just in-case that was needed.)

This is true in that some games do support software Physx better than others.

BTW, no bumping please. Doing so violates the forum rules and guidelines. Thanks.

To re-iterate, there is no way to make an AMD GPU perform "hardware based" Physx like on a Nvidia GPU.

And, yes, you can run Physx (in software mode via the CPU) on a system with an AMD GPU.

No, It isn't answered at all. As I mentioned I already knew it was possible, and those answers only reconfirm something I already knew.

Let's not go ruining things. NO, you cannot run PhysX "ON" an AMD card. When PhysX is run with an AMD card present (and without a dedicated Nvidia PhysX card), PhysX is run on the CPU. It never runs on the AMD card itself.
