Hi,

I just installed the Piaggio Avanti from FSD International and wondered if
anyone here knew of any online resources that would help me in learning to
fly it. Can't seem to find any thing useful via google and I am not overly
impressed with the included documentation.

Here are some pics of my second attempt at landing

The included docs do not have a table listing the V-speeds. the only V-speed
I have so far seen mentioned is the safe speed for practicing single engine
maneuvers.

At the moment I am having to extrapolate from what they do say. For example:
"120KIAS should be maintained up to and altitude of 50ft". I guess takeoff
speed is about 120KIAS. Landing gear can be deployed at under 175Kts and the
minimum safe handling speed with full flaps and gear down is 100Kts. I guess
the landing speed is somewhere between the two. Although I would guess it is
closer to 100Kts.

Screen shots can be seen on their website www.fsd-international.com also
there is a review with screen shots on www.avsim.com
( http://www.avsim.com/pages/0105/avanti/avanti.htm )

If you want any specific shots, let me know and I will post them.

It's funny some people think the Avanti is the most beautiful aircraft
they've ever seen. Then there are people like me who think it's downright
odd looking. Then there are the owners of them who found out it can take up
to 10 weeks to get parts for them.

Hey, I used to own a Piaggio when I was 13.. a Piaggio Vespa.
