But there are a lot of games that don't respond to the extra cache. It's really down to your specific needs. Worth checking what games run better v what you have to see if it's a justifiable upgrade.

I would see pretty solid gains, in WoW, even over my current 5800x. Poorly threaded titles in general should see substantial gains.

I went from a 3900x > 5800x3d when it came out and it was a massive boost to everything, even 1440p with a 3080. It felt like i got 2 gens of performance increases in games while i got 1 get of CPU general performance increases. It only slightly loses to the 3900x in multi core work.
