Picking a 24"+ Monitor for Gaming [LCD vs. LED]

I am building a new PC and i have had the same monitor for a longgg time now. It is time to upgrade it.

I will be using my computer for gaming, gaming, and gaming. I want a very clear, smooth, fast responding, reliable, good monitor for gaming and whatnot. I would like to keep the price under $300 as well, and i want it to be 24" or 27" preferably. I am not sure if LED or LCD is better.

Please link me to some good monitors that would suite my needs well.

Will one of these be a better bang for my buck? or another monitor?

Get the LED. 120Hz is very smooth for gaming and I highly recommend it.
