I am fairly new to building computers and have been slowly upgrading components on an existing computer. I am trying to complete a gaming computer and currently looking to upgrade my cpu and motherboard. I plan on buying an i5 6600k but don't know which motherboard I should get to go with.
Most of my rig is from a stock package computer and I believe the current cpu is bottlenecking my new graphics card. I recently upgrade to a GTX 960 graphics card and the whole set up is housed in a Thermaltake Core V31.
So if anyone could reccomend some solid motherboard options to chose from for this build I would really appreciate it!
P.S. I am looking to play more advanced games like fallout 4 and believe that with the i5 6600k that will be no problem. I am currently running on a amd fx 6300 and believe that is what's giving me terrible performance when playing fallout 4. Can anyone confirm? I am curious if it is my cpu that is limiting my performance or if it's something else, thanks!
