Question picking next CPU

Hello everyone,

Does anybody know what the logical upgrade should be for my next CPU? The 6700 XT or RTX 3060?

I'm looking something in the mid range, not planning on upgrading my other hardware.

Here are my specs:
OS Name Microsoft Windows 10 Pro
Processor AMD Ryzen 7 2700X Eight-Core Processor, 3700 Mhz, 8 Core(s), 16 Logical Processor(s)
Installed Physical Memory (RAM) 16,0 GB
Name NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660

I'd go for the 6700XT, similar price, better performance, more Vram.

He already stated 2 Gpus with similar performance and his CPU is old

In regards to the gpu, of those choices the 6700xt is the stronger card. Also might check the 6750xt as it’s a later version of the 6700xt. You may also look at the rx 6800 as well. It is a little more but has 16gb vram and is a bit stronger. You might be able to find a bargain on it.

I know you aren’t planning to upgrade anything else but I can tell you if you for example were to update your cpu to a 5700x, that would give a very nice performance jump for you.
