[SOLVED] Picking the best monitor (144hz @1440p or 240hz @ 1080p)

So I have spent a couple of days perfecting my PC build. Obviously it isn't perfect, but I made a few cuts in pricing and improvements. With my 2070s, should I get 240hz @1080 or can you not tell the difference between 144 and 240 Hz?? Is 1440p a noticeable upgrade from 1080p? Also which is better, VA or IPS for price to performance? If anyone can answer those 3 questions, I would really appreciate it. Here is my build:

This is totally a matter of preference. 1440p is obviously a bit clearer than 1080p. Your GPU could probably handle both monitors fine, and reach both their potential.
So would you rather have a slightly sharper image, or more frames per second? Totally up to you.

I’ve never personally seen the difference. I only have a 75Hz monitor.
I’ve heard that you can see the difference though. If you got the 240Hz monitor, and then went back to 144Hz, you would definitely see and feel a difference.

1080p 240hz:
+easier to run(resolution)
-harder to sustain - 240fps minimum
+e-sports titles are easy-peasy to sustain
-graphics eye candy needs to be turned down in most situations to sustain
=some games are either impossible with the current available hardware, or hella expensive for what's needed

1440p 144hz:
-harder to run(resolution)
+easier to sustain - 144hz minimum
+e-sports titles should still be easy to sustain: they can run on potato hardware, after all
=graphics eye candy may still need to be turned down in some situations to sustain
+easily manageable across a number of hardware combinations

I can tell the difference between 60 and 120, but not 120 to 240. 120 is smooth enough for me.

Ultimately up to you, but this is how I see it:
Even greater image smoothness, at the cost of graphics detail, or greater graphics detail, at the cost of great-but-not-quite-ultra-level smoothness.
