Hey guys, this is the build ive gone for
AMD 5600X
B550 Gaming Edge motherboard
GTX 1660 Super
(until i can get hold of a 3060ti)
2x8gb RGB Corsair RAM
750TX Corsair PSU

Im getting a bit overwelmed with response time and gsync/freesync and if its needed, my budget is around 250-350. Any suggestions? The main question is how important is gync/freesync.

Thanks for reading.

Nvidia does support variable refresh rate for FreeSync-only monitors for more than a year. Works on almost all monitors. But only over DisplayPort cable. HDMI cables and DisplayPort -> HDMI adapters does not qualify.

Unboxings are completely worthless, I agree that.

I was after a new monitor just 3 months ago, wanted same thing as you and also had no idea what to buy. Two mods here have the same monitor I bought and were the ones who recommended it.
Guess you need more suggestions and then go watch videos about them to find any problems that they may have. And see which is better.
Looking at them in a shop also helps. Do you want curved?
What size screen?
Do you want hdr?

Thank you for your responses. I have been looking and I think ive narrowed it down to the LG 32GK650F and the AOC CQ27G2. LG being a slightly bigger monitor and performs a bit better but around 50-70 pound more expensive.

Get 27" - 27" at 1440p will have nicer picture over 32" due to denser PPI (smaller pixels). Also if you use monitor not only for entertainment, think about flat panel instead of curved one. On curved panel straight lines appear slightly distorted which if your school or work tasks involve CAD, geometry, graphic or UI design, will drive you mad.
