Hello guys and gals,

I am planning to build a new PC. I don't have any experience in this matter, but I've been reading articles and reviews of components released in the last 2 years.
After thinking over my actual needs, I came up with the build below. I think it could work, but i've got a few questions, hoping we could come up with something.
My intention is to build a PC capable of running smoothly softwares like SolidWorks, Cinema 4d, 3ds MAX - used for interior design, and furniture modelling - and pull off quick renderings.

Case cooling possibilities:

Cooling Top 120mm x 2 (optional)
Cooling Bottom 120mm x 2 (1 included) or 200mm x 1(optional) or 230mm x 1 (optional)
Cooling Rear 120mm x 1 (included) or 140mm x 1 (optional)

The Questions:
1.) I don't think i can fit in a decent AIO liquid cooler in this case, to cool down the 5820k. I would also like to overclock the CPU a bit. So...what do you think, what kind of cooling solution would work best? It can also be air cooled as long as it gets the job done. Note: I really want to stick with this case!
2.) The second thing in question is the Memory. I don't know how much the mhz matters in the effectiveness of a ram. I don't plan to mess with overclocking the memory. I thought that a 3200 mhz kit should outperform a 2400 mhz kit, but I think it might produce too much heat for this case.
What are your insights guys?
3.) Could you please recommend me a fan setup to get a nice airflow in the case? - I plan to use a blower type card, for it to exhaust the heat right out of the case.
4.) TBH i'm not sure if the 1080 is an overkill or not. Would the 980 or 980 ti greatly underperform this badboy? In my country there is a €300 difference between the cheapest 980 and the cheapest 1080. Note: I am going to hook up a jumbo sized 4k monitor (40 - 43 inch) to the system.

Solution
A Cryorig H5 or a bequiet dark rock 3 will be just as good as most liquid coolers

Higher clocked RAM mostly doesn't make a lot of a difference. But you could buy a 2800MHz kit. I personally don't think it will have that many heat issues, but I'm not an expert @mITX

The 980 is about as strong as a 1060
If you can fit and afford the 1080, go for it

Thank you for your answer! Highly appreciated.

I was an AIO liquid cooler fan till now, but I have to realise that air coolers are way safer, and even cheaper and also as capable as liquid coolers, so I think i will look into those you recommended.

On the other hand, it's not mITX but mATX...but doesnt really change anything, as I know. ^^

Really? When I was looking at the case it stated mITX with CPU coolers up to 160mm
That's why I didn't suggest the cryorig R1 or the noctua ND15

Liquid coolers can be a good option, especially if.the radiator is stored outside the case because it doesn't need much space and looks good.
But concerning sound/cooling/price ratio, they usually lose against air coolers

1. Cryorig A40 ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA4UF3GA2042 ) is pretty decent in regards to acoustics. http://www.hardwareslave.com/reviews/hardware/cooling/cryorig-a40-aio-cpu-cooler-review/3/

2. High frequency, low timing memory is good especially for rendering. Good choice man.

3. your case has weird ventilation. Ideally, the generic pc case has intake fans from the front. Your mini atx case takes cool air in from the bottom and little holes from the side. I guess it's better to get an AIO cooler since you're cramped for space and large profile air coolers may actually intrude installation.

4. 1080 isn't overkill. It's a flagship graphics card of this 2016-2017-(2018?) generation. Your monitor is a 4k monitor, so this should help with rendering / gaming tremendously, no bargains. Let's talk about overkill. Anything that's top of the crop is obviously premium priced. You're not getting bang for the buck at all, only bragging rights and what's the fastest in the market. i.e. getting a Lamborghini for $200k versus a $30k civic. I won't judge you if you want the best of the best.

Last but not least, you can read reviews all day, but ultimately put that thought aside and ask yourself, "How much is my budget?" - At some point in life, you have to be stingy and count pennies. The extra money can go into your savings account or other future investments, like a Shiba Inu puppy, a diamond ring or a fancy restaurant meal for your loved one's birthday. personal matters aside, your choice of graphics cards depends on price. 5 years from now, you will look back and ask yourself how much you spent, not if what you paid for was the greatest for its time. Because... let's face it, there will always be upcoming cards that are faster and new.

In my opionion the 1080 is worth more than the 980, so get it if your bank account can afford it.

http://www.hardwareslave.com/reviews/hardware/cooling/cryorig-a40-aio-cpu-cooler-review/3/

a lot of reviews show that the 1080 can process 4k resolution easily at more than 30fps, while the 980 can struggle in some benchmarks at 4k.

Solution

Thank you, bboiprfsr, for taking the time to give a so detailed answer.

Thanks for the cautionary words, and helping me set my priorities right...you sound like someone talking out of experience, and I think you really mean to help me out here.
First of all, that Shiba Inu pup got me wondering - very idea, many happy, WOW, much puppy - and I sure have put some more thought into it, whether i should go with the puppy and diamond ring combo, or the GPU...but I look at this PC as an investment too, that will set off something that should earn me way more than it costs, so I don't think I will ever regret it, and i don't mind spending much on something that is going to serve me for years. I'm still not aiming for a quadro, which many say I should do. I was interested if i can juice out every bit of GPU power off of the 1080, otherwise I can go with something more moderate - but you reinforced me just well, thanks! :)
Believe me, I'm already counting every penny...as a system like this will set me back more than 6 months' salary...but I won't hesitate a minute to spend the price, as it can potentially be a game-changer for me.

You answered my questions like no helpdesk guy ever could have. You are wonderful! I'm left with no questions left ^^
I hope to operate on the system in two months' time, and I will be eternally grateful for you!

Take care, and cheers!
Regards,
Barni

I looked a bit more into the matter, and i think i can fit somehow in a 240mm rad even into the case, wihtout having to sacrifice anything, so I'm hopeful here.
