Piggy Backing SATA Power

I just purchased the last components needed for my first PC build. The HDD and the Blu-Ray drive need to be connected to SATA power. Can I piggy back these two together using a 2-way or 3-way SATA cable? I`m just wondering if it matters which components can share a SATA cable, and if some components should be connected on it`s own power cable.

A psu will normally have several sata power connectors on the same lead. Using them all is fine.
It does not matter, sata power usage is small.

Okay, thanks for the quick answer, but I misstated the power for the HDD. It is not SATA. It is SATA 6 Gb/s. So, I`ll share the optical drive power with an existing SATA 3-way cable, and use a SATA 6 Gb/s cable for the HDD. Is this right?

Sata data and sata power are 2 different things, however all connectors will work with all devices.

You need differant SATA cables for each (connected to the motherboard)
The power cables chained will work.
